Green Works Africa’s volunteer and internship compound is located at Umoja Road, Block 2Q, Madale Village, P.O. Box 23333, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It provides a sustainable and comfortable living environment for volunteers and interns alike. For instance, the compound uses eco-friendly practices, such as flush toilets with bio-grade sanitation tanks, composting for organic waste, and recycling water for garden irrigation. Additionally, bucket showers are available to help conserve water.

Furthermore, the compound offers around 50 beds in single, double, and dormitory rooms to suit your preferences. If you’re looking for a bit more privacy, you can easily upgrade to a single room for EUR 40 per week, which you can also share with a friend. Beds are fully equipped with sheets and mosquito nets to ensure a comfortable stay.

Moreover, the office area provides unlimited Wi-Fi access, though it’s a good idea to occasionally rely on prepaid personal internet on your smartphone, especially during peak usage times. The garden area also includes a bar where you can unwind, along with an African kitchen serving a mix of African and Western dishes.
